WHAT IS THE “FIXED ON” GREEN TOUR?
Sean Burch will ride a fixed gear, single speed bicycle across America to:
1) Showcase and support social and environmental preservation and restoration, and healthy approaches to everyday living that encourages individuals to create a sustainable environment for themselves and for their children.
2) Promote “cardio commuting” by showing bikes are the perfect sustainable transportation solution to modern day commuting to help lower transportation costs and positively impact the environment.
3) Experience and address first-hand the Global Warming epidemic that is occurring across the continental United States.
4) Broaden public awareness to diverse environmental issues.
The “Fixed On” bicycle tour across America is about focusing, aligning the mind, body, and soul around a healthy lifestyle and ecosystem, and advocate people to enact the changes they desire to see in themselves and on earth. In addition to direct interaction with consumers, Sean will be speaking with national and local media outlets at “Fixed On” eco-village events held throughout the country at major universities and national food co-ops. Topics will include: purchasing local organic foods; sharing through service; community giving and action; reducing global warming; conservation/recycling; ecological balance; and utilizing healthy, alternative forms of transportation.
